To Locate Books

All books currently required at the Hudson Valley Center are kept on the reserve shelf. Reserve textbooks are filed alphabetically by title. They are for use only in the library and cannot be removed from the center.  

The circulating collection can be checked out to students by the security guard, or by any of the staff. For any reference questions or any questions regarding Hudson Valley student library accounts, please email

To Reserve Books From Other Adelphi Locations

Go to Using Onesearch, locate the book you wish to borrow. Choose “Reserve from catalog.” Then choose “Request Hold” and choose Hudson Valley Center as the pickup location. Books will be mailed directly to the Hudson Valley student’s home. Please return these items to the Hudson Valley Center.


Students can order textbooks and other course materials online by using the Adelphi University Bookstore.


The library offers reference, circulation and inter-library loan services. Please email the librarian for any of these services. Many library resources are also available online using your Adelphi University username and password. Students also have access to services and materials at Adelphi’s Manhattan, Suffolk and Garden City libraries.
